Join me for a How to Make Kombucha 1-hour workshop on Sunday, March 22 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at The Art of Health in South Arlington. This small group learning environment is limited to ten participants. Register here before March 10th and receive $5 off the $55 cost.
Kombucha is a refreshing beverage made by fermenting sweet tea with a starter culture called a “SCOBY”. Making kombucha is inexpensive, easy, creative, and fun.
In this 1-hour workshop, participants will learn how to brew, ferment, and bottle kombucha. Participants will observe various stages of kombucha production and taste different flavors of kombucha. Each participant will each receive a glass jar, a SCOBY, starter liquid, tea, one sealed bottle of kombucha to drink after fermenting for 3 days, and printed instructions.
This workshop includes:
- A step by step demonstration of how to brew and ferment kombucha;
- Flavoring tips;
- A tasting of different kombucha flavors;
- Printed instructions;
- A SCOBY;
- Starter liquid;
- A glass brewing vessel; and
- One sealed bottle of kombucha to drink, after fermenting for 3 days.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to get settled. Late arrives are disruptive and will not be admitted or refunded.
About the Instructor: Vanessa has been brewing her own kombucha for over 3 years and teaches healthy cooking, MELT Method self-care, and yoga.
